Through this project, the Togolese NGO AE2D proposes to work on the Alibi community forest. Thanks to its activities over the past three years, the NGO has secured the transfer to the populations of Alibi canton of a 1,000-ha area of the Abdoulaye classified forest. 6,000 people, spread across four villages, are concerned by this transfer.
For three years, the NGO has been working alongside the populations of Alibi on the conservation of the Alibi community forest. Covering an estimated area of 3,000 ha, this community forest faces several forms of pressure, the most significant being agricultural encroachment, poaching and pastoralism. The project aims to conserve the forest’s resources while contributing to the development of local residents.

– Develop income-generating activities linked to the valorisation of natural resources, benefiting women.
