The project takes place around the village of Makoghé, located within Lopé National Park (5,000 km²), on the banks of the Offoué river. This site is home to great plant, bird and mammal diversity, including elephants and red river hogs. It is also an area that has remained well preserved, with no logging activity established within this area to date.

The project’s overall aim is to support the sustainable development of Makoghé village and Lopé National Park. Through this tourism activity, in an area with very strong potential, local populations’ standard of living will be improved, further encouraging them to make rational use of the resources nature provides them with.
