Haut-Ogooué is a province in south-eastern Gabon featuring very great diversity in animal and plant species, with unique landscapes formed by alternating savanna and tropical forest. This natural wealth is now under threat due to changes in hunting techniques, urban pressure, and other factors. In response, an eco-museum was created in 2006 with support from the FFEM, to raise awareness among the province’s residents of these issues, and now reaches a growing number of visitors, currently around 300 per month.

The project seeks to open up this eco-museum to children, raising their awareness of the beauty, but also the fragility, of the world around them.
