PPI capitalization: 20 years of support for Nature conservation !

For 20 years, the Small – Scale Initiatives Programme (PPI ) has been supporting civil society in West and Central Africa committed to nature conservation.
It supports local organisations in strengthening their professionalism and influence on environmental issues, while financing field projects for biodiversity preservation, climate change mitigation and improved territorial governance for the benefit of local communities. In 20 years, the PPI has supported 326 projects in 28 countries in West and Central Africa. Led by 214 CSOs, the actions fall within eight themes related to biodiversity conservation and organisational development. The total grant budget amounts to €11.3 million.
